Iowa Code of Administrative Judicial Conduct (Chapter 15)

  • Rule 15.1 - Canon 1 - A presiding officer shall uphold and promote the independence, integrity, and impartiality of the administrative judiciary and shall avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety.
  • Rule 15.2 - Canon 2 - A presiding officer shall perform administrative judicial duties impartially, competently, and diligently.
  • Rule 15.3 - Canon 3 - An administrative law judge shall conduct the administrative law judge’s personal and extrajudicial activities to minimize the risk of conflict with administrative judicial obligations.
  • Rule 15.4 - Canon 4 - An administrative law judge shall not engage in political or campaign activity that is inconsistent with the independence, integrity, or impartiality of the administrative judiciary.
